Just a quick post to let you know that the EP is almost done! Everything is recorded, and the mix is starting to sound great as well!

It will consist of 4 tracks, and it will run just a little over 20 minutes. We will list a complete tracklist next week, and hopefully have it ready for download just after that.

A small update from us in 1099.

First up, we have a new drummer. Due to time constraints, our older drummer had to quit, but thankfully we already knew a hard-hitting drummer who quickly said yes when we asked him to become a part of 1099. So the 2-3 months before the Barcelona gig we had to focus on him learning all the new songs + all of us getting a good understanding together musically. But it worked out really great, and we had a fantastic time in Barcelona!

Because of this the process of creating new songs for an album has been postponed(again), but every week now we are working hard on creating new music, and we are quite excited with what we have come up with so far!

The good news is that instead of an complete album, we will release an EP this autumn. And as with Machine! Fire! Ghost! you will be able to download it for free from www.1099band.com! We just have to record some more instruments to make sure it sounds just the way we want it first. And we hope to have it online within 2 months, and hopefully earlier!

We will also play at least one gig this autumn. The date is 13 of november and the venue is Cafè 3B in Trondheim.

Thats it for now. We will let you know when the EP is almost done, and if any new gigs turn up!

On monday the 6th of july we will play a concert in a small venue in our home town, called Buranhus. We are really looking forward to playing in Trondheim again.

It costs 50 kr, but we hope it will be worth it!

Machine! Fire! Ghost! got a great review today!

the songs go from downbeat moments with toms and the infamous Indian Summer guitars, onto the same Indian Summer guitars only with snare instead of toms. then the strings come. then the cymbals come, increasingly louder and louder and louder. the snare is hit faster and louder as well. the guitars go higher and higher. the strings are constrasting slower and slower. everything breaks. the twinkly Indian Summer guitars are alone. then comes the upbeat drumming, the distorted guitars, the everything. there’s climaxes all over the place. everything is alive with beauty, power and passion. this ep is awesome
